The problem I encountered was the new legislation in the Netherlands, the farm where we used to get milk closed their milk draft as there are now new regulations where they have to do expensive checks and can’t just sell the milk anymore. He said he’s now just selling the milk in larger quantities to Eastern European people living in the area, directly from the tank. So he doesn’t have to deal with all the government restrictions. We simply don’t consume enough with our small family so it was end of story for us in the region I grew up in. I simply don’t want to bother him with our small quantities, it’s too much work for him. It’s sad that most milk drafts in the Netherlands are now closing down.
