In retrospect, i think what epsilon proofs and other inductive proofs really do is get you de facto from the probablistic modality to the necessary modality. It gives you a recipe/algorithm for numerical experience, for something that if followed predicts experience.

ie even if you're missing the 'experience' of it: you get an approximation of it for any case you care to use.
