events in the UK are indicative of so-called 'liberal' or privately owned #socialmedia in organizing the far right as well as spreading hideous reactionary ideas
they're also showing the utter failure of 'moderation' policies (and why #mastodon and the #fediverse is an example countering all that)
BUT, social media did NOT create the far right. If you just blame social media, then you're just finding another excuse.
