#Bitcoin Core and Core #Lightning finished syncing on the new machine and I’ve deposited 21K sats.
My questions now are:
1. Are there any nodes that that specialize in opening small channels?
2. What are the major concerns/factors that affect who you open a channel with?
3. Are there any privacy considerations?
4. Is 21K enough to do anything? I know it was possible (when fees were low) to open a channel to
ZEUS (npub1xnf…lpr5)' OLYMPUS for 10K sats and get 100K of inbound liquidity. I’m not sure of that would apply in this case.
My goal is just to open a small channel to start testing BOLT12 payouts from
OCEAN (npub1qtv…7dze) Any feedback/resources would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

It turns out that the internet speed was the main issue/bottleneck.
After reconfiguring the powerline network, the download speed dramatically improved and ~42% of the blockchain is synced on a fresh install of #StartOS on another machine (after about a day). Something to consider if you were like me wondering what’s taking so long.
Almost there, BOLT12. 🫡
