I actually came to this conclusion earlier, when I posted this: there really isn't anything being gained from the constant arguments over this. I think we'd all like there to be, especially since a lot of us live in the US where political pressure might mean actual change, and "we should kill all Palestinians" is an actual talking point in the discourse that holds real weight in policy...
...but I don't know that we're actually getting anything done here, because the state of the discussion has just devolved into nonsense.
Me getting into it certainly isn't helping my own mental state, nor is it helping foster better relations within Fedi, and I don't think it's really bringing anyone any closer to any sort of resolution here.
