I moved from the US to Canada in 2000. The Healthcare system here is far from perfect, but it is SO much better than the US. Yes, our taxes are higher to pay for it, but you don't have the bullshit insurance companies denying you procedures. There can be long waiting periods, but medical debt does not exist. I'll wait as long as I need to if it's free. I can go to any hospital or walk-in clinic in the province and receive care for free. I love it. "Socialized" is not a bad word.
