I see a similarity between the christian conservative mindset that I grew up with and the mindset of FOSS bros. Both groups strongly believe in what they think is right and want to preach it to the world. Both groups cannot comprehend that other people can have very good reasons for differing opinions and beliefs. Both groups can get very emotional in arguments and see themselves as better people than "those filthy heretics".
Please let people choose what to believe in and which software and hardware they want to use. Please don't take offense by people politely disagreeing with you. Please leave the "heretics" alone when they don't want to be evangelized.
