We might see whether diversity adds significant value to engineering and medicine after the tax law passes? Businesses might migrate to low tax countries like Asian countries but they lack diversity. Besides, these countries aren’t receptive of immigrants like America is. What I understand: innovation benefits from diversity. On the other hand, diversity can be of many parameters. Like India itself is diverse and the agriculture system shows innovation due to it. So maybe this might backfire? I’m beginning to believe that it’s not high taxes in Europe that causes lack of innovation. It’s the homogenous population and other involvement from the government that causes uncertainty in businesses that causes lack of innovation. In the US, taking care of healthcare, it will in fact liberate many to tart businesses or take more risks.
