My latest Happy Place: cold beer, drizzly allotment just at the edge of dusk, a spade and just enough digging to get the body back to grounded. A nuthatch heralding the approaching night, everything lush & green - major upside of a rainy year.
Realised not long ago I could only dream of getting an allotment. Now it's the most reliable source of joy. Hoping all allotment dreamers experience the same.
