Capitalism does need constant economic growth. Capitalism centers around the competition between people in the free market. Eventually, a select few people will corner the markets and will have to expand out of their local markets in order to continue to keep making a profit. This leads to them taking more and more control until they have to expand outside of their country in order to gain profit from existing markets in other countries. 1/3
