The staircase at Minx Hall is inspired by the staircase at Hertford House, the home of the Wallace Collection museum. & a rare example of a London town house occupying the whole side of a garden square.The grand staircase features a Louis XV balustrade made 1733-41 for the Bibliotheque du Roi in the Palais Mazarin in Paris, sold as scrap iron before being bought for Hertford House.
