Sci-hub creator Alexandra Elbakyan is so based that when the Indian government started pressuring her for copyright infringement (like the publishers and the FBI did with Aaron), she simply withdrew from India and stopped adding new academic papers to the library (globally).
Indian universities can not afford the extremely high cost of subscribing to journals. The entire countries scientific system is based on freely available research palers. This has been going for years. They are so fucked.
