so my doctor’s office

does not allow you to come and pick up a prescription without ordering it at least 1 day prior
does not currently have an email address
has 2 hours of phone times during weekdays, at a time when i sleep, and 1 additional hour on 2 weekdays at a time where i am awake
can categorically not be reached during their phone hours because everyone else is also trying to get through.

my meds

run out on saturday

so my options are

go there today and explain that i need my prescpition today, and i’m sorry but i tried to call but i couldn’t reach them
go there today and play stupid claiming that i ordered a prescription by email, i don’t understand why they say they haven’t received it
in both cases, spend an indeterminate amount of time sitting in the covid cloud of the waiting room
waste another hour today trying to call, and then end up having to do the same thing tomorrow morning, after staying awake all night because they open 1.5 hours after the time that i expect to go to bed
submit to mortality and face the inevitable decay of the physical vessel
