I still think esports,in general, was a mistake- so in a weird way maybe getting it completely community funded and scaling back to an actually sustainable degree is the better way to go.
As much as I enjoyed watching the EVO finals on espn 8 or whatever a few years ago... It was ridiculous.
I appreciate that some people really like the stadiums and the spectacle- but that necessitates so much pg rated nonsense and constant advertiser spam that it makes the whole experience terrible.
