Mikael the #Sami Culture Tourism Host collected us in his boat and drove us 10 km of the way down to Ammarnäs. He bought the boat 20 years ago from a builder in northern Finland and spends a week every year tarring it. It is clinkered Scots pinewood, seats six rowers and is indistinguishable from a Vendel & Valsgärde boat except for the little transom, Sv. akterspegel.
