What Sentinel 65X needs is more people building and testing and tinkering with the boards. It needs community feedback. To get that, I have to get boards into people's hands. To do that, I have to spend money up front to produce the boards. This is why I charge CAD$35 for the PCB -- it's not to fill my bank account (the margins are tiny!), it's to keep the project from bankrupting me so I can fully dedicate myself to seeing it to completion and beyond. Ask anyone who knows: prototyping costs. Each and every board respin is hundreds of dollars in fees and parts. I will do as many iterations as it takes to deliver the best possible version of Sentinel 65X, but the speed at which I can do them is limited by money more than anything else.
But things are rough all around. If you can't afford to spend $35+shipping on a PCB you might not actually build, I don't hold it against you. Just reading my posts and occasionally interacting helps keep my motivation up.
