We need to practice more "hard love" in society, especially with your friends: the ability to confront your friends directly if they talk BS, harm others, behave idiotic or make dumb life decisions.
Bully them a bit into self reflection if you see it.
Because, if you can't confront a friend from time to time, are you even a friend?
