Here are a couple of red bellied woodpeckers (Melanerpes carolinus), a male and a female I'm sure, but from this distance and at this angle, it is hard to tell which is which. I took this in September 2023, I believe that they were in a tall tree near the northwest corner of my property and were moving deeper into the forest.
