Sadly it's not just CA. A few years ago I watched over 3k residents of a very pro-gun VA county come to a BoS meeting demanding they be declared a Second Amendment Sanctuary. Somehow that same county then re-elected a state senator who voted 3X against making VA a constitutional carry state.
