I would look at it like being a curator. You bring something to the attention of people who wouldn't know about it otherwise.
But, of course, it'd be nice to give back to the original creator, so that more cool stuff gets created. This is why a lot of thought was given to being able to split lightning payments with various creators in the podcasting 2.0 world. Perhaps some of that will come to zaps one day. It is almost necessary in a sense, because everybody involved in the infrastructure needs a cut so the system can continue to run.
If it's something freely available on the internet, you haven't broken any laws. You'd have to break the law first, like maybe pirating something and then posting it here. The mea culpa of me not actually being a lawyer- and who knows what they can decide is illegal when they are out to get you- applies here.
