modding Morrowind in 2024: ironically trickier than ever
some years ago I'd still go for MXE install every time because OpenMW couldn't run some of the mwse mods. now OpenMW is much more mature and it STILL can't run the mwse mods, but has plenty of it's own exclusive ones and people keep making more, so you kinda have to pick. these are getting updates too, often making heavy use of 0.48 and 0.49 (currently in beta) OpenMW versions - if the trend continues, it may become annoying to keep modding one install over years like I used to
