I wouldn't say #Foundation has been adapted to the screen. Maybe because it is really hard to do it, no one has been able to, yet.
Whatever they are filming under the trademark Foundation is vaguely inspired by it and may contain traces of Asimov's books, if any.
But it is not the original story. That would require changing all actors each season, for starters. And that's not something viewers like.
