Grumpy old person reaction: If you aren't trying to monetize your audience (which is a fine reason), there is no reason to choose Substack or its alternatives over Blogger or Wordpress. But I understand there's been some sort of vibe shift, and perhaps the walled garden feel is valuable to some conversations.
