Anti-Vietnam protests were organized by literal Communists, they didn't even sorta try hiding it like they did for Civil Rights.
In the mid 20th Century we were well regarded. Before WW2 as well. Europe as it exists today was built by us and the rest of the world that resisted the Communist genocides largely did so only through our efforts.
Before WWI many came here because even then, we had growing industry and some of the best legal protections in the world.
The US has historically been pretty great and I'm tired of doomers forgetting this.
