So the government is compelled by outside forces to encroach on your freedoms? The issue i have with those arguments is that they allow people to draw a bridge between the internal polical process and foreign relations: "The Russians stole Hilldawgs presidentcy!". This plays into uncle sams hands who is always horny for war making him able to sell you back your freedom in exchange for foreign interventions and possibly war.
