I've been saying for years that Republicans need to be socially ostracized, and there's always people pushing back with "meh that doesn't work, meh we're not like them, meh we should be nice to them".
Look what Democrats are doing now: they're calling Republicans weirdos (aka socially ostracizing them) and... it works!
