"content": "Today I used SINPE in Sierpe to pay for lunch using my Bitcoin Lightning bakance in a very remote cafe in Costa Rica.\n\nSINPE (Sistema Nacional de Pagos Electrónicos) is Costa Rica’s national electronic payments system, managed by the Central Bank of Costa Rica. The SINPE mobile allows for a mobile phone to be linked to a bank account.\n\nUsing nostr:npub14f26g7dddy6dpltc70da3pg4e5w2p4apzzqjuugnsr2ema6e3y6s2xv7lu I signed up with nostr:npub18ull0tdnj9vugtq259k48szg80al44ta7g4fa85nvj3svaq7kt8s9udcl9. To make the purchase I then enter the SINPE mobile number and the balance is instantly sent to the vendor and received in Colones (local currency).\n\nThanks nostr:npub1taycl7qfuqk9dp0rhkse8lxhz3az9eanjug8j4ympwehvslnetxqkujg5y and nostr:npub1t289s8ck5qfwynf2vsq49t2kypvvkpj7rhegayrur0ag9s2sezaqgunkzs.
