"content": "Spontaneous evening project: Halfway finished an external 40m low pass filter for the QRP Labs 50W PA. I built the PA with the 20m internal LPF, and this new board allows me to connect an external 40m one on the output to make the PA dual band.\n\nTo switch bands I'll insert or remove this board from between the PANand the antenna coax \n\nThanks to Adam Kimmerly K6ARK, who came up with these boards and kindly sent some to me!\n\nThis was also a good time to browse through the tribal wisdom from GQRP Club regarding harmonic filters. It saves a lot of time when someone has compiled the relevant data like that.\n\nhttps://www.gqrp.com/harmonic_filters.pdf\n\nhttps://www.gqrp.com/Datasheet_W3NQN.pdf\n\nI was also lucky that the caps left over from the 20m internal LPF were exactly the values needed for a 40m LPF. I also had some T37-6 toroids, so the only parts I didn't have at home were the BNC connectors.
