That's how they can market their browser as unique among others and the reason to go for them rather than continuing to use what we currently use.
I get that Gecko is a huge beast to manage and I do respect that. However, if all you have time for is building a browser with a non-Chromium engine and it can't compete with features that other browsers have, why would average people switch?
