What I'm saying is that navigation through the system should be primarily keyboard based. This does not (or should not) detract from the functionality of the existing software.
I use Krita almost every week to create custom icons and only use the mouse when absolutely necessary, i.e. when I need to work on the canvas. Almost everything else I do with the keyboard for speed. This means that a lot of the graphical elements are redundant to me and could be replaced by a help page.
Ultimately, I think it is important for people to get used to the keyboard beyond the act of entering text.
