I think a fair solution that could go a long way to address moral/ethical concerns with our current healtchare system is to make it mandatory for health insurance companies to be nonprofits.
'Sota used to do that until the GOP leg got rid of it in '17, but it's coming back in '25.
Every penny of premiums that goes to a shareholder is money leaving the Healthcare system. Premiums should go towards keeping claimants healthy and the insurance solvent. Anything else creates perverse incentives.
