Everything we've tested has proven Einstein's general relativity correct. Galaxy clusters bending spacetime, gravitational waves, even how matter behaves around black holes. But we KNOW our understanding of gravity is incomplete because of the singularity. It's not a physical place. Rather, it signifies the breakdown of our laws. Singularities are infinities, and in physics, infinities tell us our equations aren't working. So the black hole singularity tells us our laws break down at that point.
