reply-gating is one of the most efficient anti-abuse tools available; i *wish* the ridiculous visibility controls of mastodon were replaced by something actually useful like this…
(and i really would like to know the reasoning behind the “followers only” option that changes the audience from reply to reply because it's always message-specific)
