I don’t know if this is a Japan thing or just coincidence, but I feel like every thumbnail on UberEats is a smorgasbord of dishes. And no thumbnail captures—what I would consider—a nice plating of a single dish. Either it’s to show variety or uniformity, but neither appeal to me. Seeing the same thing 20 times or 20 different dishes doesn’t work on me. It does the opposite. I can’t see any detail in a dish the size of a tab bar icon.
I just want to see a closeup of one dish.
