There is a lot of buzz irt FOSS and digital sovereignty in government and NGO circles these day. And eventhough if you would read what that would have to say you'd spring up like an excited puppy and rush to them to share Nostr, i am skeptical.

The thing is, whenever you enter this type of committee clusterfuck, they will always have demands, they will always have interests to protect and as a result you get this "compromise" that makes things suck from the get go.

If you were to introduce cash money today, they would deem it illegal, and give you a 1000 reasons why it is a bad idea. They could have (rather trivially) introduced "CBDC" two decades ago using e-cash, instantly making online payments easy, seamless and privacy preserving, and solving the 'too big to fail' problem right then and there; but ofcourse thats a no-go. And now that Bitcoin exists, they still try to ignore the fuck out of it.

TCP/IP has a somewhat similar story, and it is very likely Nostr will be no different. Now if you are so inclined to contact these people; fine, i will put on a suit, hop in my car or a plane an represent. But have no expectations on this front.

The only real way i see is to make ourselves inevitable, be that Bitcoin or Nostr.

Fait accompli
