“Society is crap?” We have liberal democracy; it’s not so bad.
I have infrequent but ongoing work meetings with one billionaire, and I’ve had a small group dinner with another. (I don’t count talking briefly with Tom Steyer and Donald Trump in 2019)
Usually when we cannot fathom the stupidity of a group, it is because we don’t have access to all the relevant information and therefore haven’t internalized their motivations.
Ending tribalism is the larger task beyond ending racism.
