Sometimes I wonder why I realised I'm a woman so late in life.
And then I remember I grew up at a time where one of the worst things to do to insult a boy was to implicitly or explicitly call him a girl.
And then I do not wonder anymore. Funny.
(it's gotten better in the past few decades. But we're still a LONG way from being anywhere near acceptable, as a society)
