i do agree with that sentiment but I do feel that any progressive movement sadly eventually turns to neoliberalism or to basic liberalist ideas more than actually turning towards socialism

The LGBTQ movement in the 60-70s although could have had potential for revolutionary changes still in the end resorted to gaining concessions and having the neoliberal aspects that we seen around the 70-2000s era

Although I do stress the LGBTQ movement with socialism is kind of relatively new, the rights for gay people was eventually accepted as part of the neoliberal order with a few opportunists always taking the center stage like with minority rights too with opportunists always working for the bourgeois, i did feel trans rights also had the same problems with Caitlyn Jenner who literally was famous for coming out of trans and actually did nothing for the whole trans community at all other than a few representation in name

It's all opportunists coming in center stage getting rid of any class consciousness and organization from marginalized groups to be claiming to represent liberalisation of those underprivileged
