of course. I'm not trying to diminish the situation of "normal people" like us. I'm just suggesting that it feels like a single software can't have it both ways. I dont even think federation is compatible with post control. We need two platforms, each designed around their own philosophy when it comes to post control.

My point was more that, I think mastodon devs are aware of this, and the fact that masto is designed like a "public square" is a conscious decision.
