And my original answer was to abandon countries altogether. This is not a platitude. I do not believe in the religion of "the economy" and I believe all states are our enemies.
I do not oppose markets, I oppose what has been called "market society" where all aspects of life are subsumed by market exchange, such that we are slaves to the market rather than it being a tool to serve us. I posted a link to an excellent thread about that if you need further clarification:
