Social norms question for folks.
I’m visiting one of my close friends (from growing up) in a different city for about a week. Previously when I visited him years ago, I would stay at his apartment.
For this visit I booked a hotel, close to his place, because I would be there for nearly a week. He has his old roommates room in his current apartment, and has offered it to me twice now.
Am I an asshole for turning his place down? Is he just being nice or will he be offended?
