They don't because they forced Bridgy to implement "opt-in". And in this particular case, they don't care about opt-in, it's anti-person, complete hatred and attack on a person, they don't care if there are innocents affected by their attacks. (Like what terrorist groups do.)
They're Twitter refugees. They were brainwashed by Meta and Twitter. They think no differently than Meta and Twitter. They're practically the same group who is anti-Threads, "predicting" EEE.
What they're doing now is literally the social version of EEE.
Step 1: Mass refugee migrations
Step 2: Establish themselves
Step 3: Pretend they're pro-openness and federation
Step 4: Create issues that weren't there since social network federation started in 2008
Step 5: Gather together, throw accusations here and there
Step 6: Take over the narrative even if they destroy the goal of the developers behind ActivityPub, ATproto, Nostr, Mastodon®, Bluesky, etc. Because after all, developers must bend to the will of the loudest voices.
