My projects tend to fall into a few buckets. One might be on Python 3.10 for a while and I'll wipe my venv out to upgrade Python versions.
Or I might use nox/tox and I let it handle that aspect of it.
Or I'm in a container and a venv is rarely worth the extra steps.
