Larry, have some respect for effort that has gone in.
At least release a public statement that you'll not interfere with the creator's ability to formally register their entitled IP rights.
Then forge your own path, under your own identity.
In the interim, JB55 at least assign your well earned 'Damus™', until the registration is offcially registered.
