I tried so fucking hard, I didn't want to be some guy who just sat on his ass and blubbered about what a nice guy he was. I put myself out there, I put the effort in, I paid for drinks and dinners, I listened to stories about their exes, I was a shoulder to cry on, I did whatever society deemed necessary to start a relationship, and I got absolutely NOTHING for my efforts. If nothing else, I learned I'm not cut out to be a boyfriend/husband and I was able to move on, a lot of guys never reach this point.
