To follow up on this old Post...
I decided on a future for myself.
Starting in May I'll begin an "on the job" training as a train dispatcher working the signal boxes in the area. I'm vaguely familiar with railroad signaling, having started my career™ working for a company installing railroad signals and switching equipment.
If everything goes to plan, I'll be working on my own at the end of the year.
