This should be a foundational principle in people’s understanding of the world and action/reaction/unintended consequences.
Politicians especially should learn this. They often make hasty changes to long term norms in society because need a quick solution (to problems that they’ve typically created). Lately we are seeing the repercussions of a lack of foresight and wisdom.
