4. Do you feature real-world political and social issues in your work?
In a manner of speaking.
My WIP, third in a series, obliquely touches on the trans experience. I am far from qualified to speak for any trans person, so I approach it by creating a situation similar enough that a trans person might identify and an ally sympathise. I have always had LGBT characters in my books, and my aliens are intersex.
