I came home to my medical garden completely chopped back in 2000. It was a patient that did it too.
I can't stand thieves, and ones that violate your space don't deserve to breathe. I'm glad you still have something to harvest.
I'd wait and get a trailcam so I could catch the jerk, but that takes resources.
