Sometimes I see jobs posted at 2x the median salary in Canada, and the first thing I think is that this salary is below market rate.
Also, off 3x the median salary, you might still not qualify for a mortgage in Toronto.
Then I'm reminded that these numbers aren't even remotely close to what "wealth" looks like, so you negotiate a better salary and do some mutual aid out of guilt.
Is this the world we want to live in?
